quitting smoking....

Hey all, I have quit smoking!!!!! *dances* (without losing breath) hehe I have a question for anyone who low carbs and has quit smoking. Did you gain weight? How long did it take for you to drop that extra weight? I am on day eight of being a non smoker and feel great, which is suprising since i have smoked for ten years *blech* I haven't dropped my usuall weekly pounds and also have put a few on, and I have stuck to my woe like always.

Horray! That's a hard one.

I don't think I gained weight. I think you'll only gain weight if you substitute lots of food for the ciggies.

Woohoo!!! Congratulations on quitting. I was smoke-free for 3 yrs last month. However, I can't help you on the low-carb and quitting thing. I quit because I was pregnant, and obviously gained a lot after that!

However, I am in the best cardiovascular shape of my whole life now at 32. I exercise all the time and love it! Too bad I squandered away all my fitness in my teens and 20s by smoking.

Bet your liking the extra $$$ in your wallet too.

Mel92 quit, gained some and then lost it. You may want to drop her a line.

Congrats on quitting! This Sept 15 I am 5 years smoke free and don't regret a second of it...well maybe for a minute on my trip to Amsterdam but I got over that *L*

You may suffer a bit of a metabolism shift now that you've quit and you may get some food cravings but lets face it you're on the best woe to help with cravings!

Remember, don't quit quitting!
