Can I get a Guess-timate please?

Hi, all you knowledgeable and helpful LCers. :)
I had a great lunch today--pizza sans crust! (The last time I had pizza, I gave in and ate it bread and all. I learned my lesson. Today, I resisted the temptation!)
The thing I'm having some difficulty with is doing an accurate count of the carbs I consumed. I'm not too great at carb counting, and the guides are helpful, but I figured asking people who have been doing this for awhile might be even more helpful.
Here's exactly what I ate:
Four medium size slices of pizza toppings: mozzarella cheese (not too thick, but not sparse), green peppers, mushrooms, onions (not too many--I heard they're higher carb, so I tried to pick them off), and green olives. I wiped much of the tomato sauce off on a napkin first.

Anybody know if I sabotaged my diet today?

Thanks

Nope. Call and ask the pizza joint if they make their own sauce. My place does and denies adding sugar. I eat my sauce and just count the whole thing as around 5 carbs.

Not really sure about the carb count... but i would say NO you didn't sabatage anything... it sounds like you did it the lowcarb way...
And onions aren't incredibly high in carbs... just trigger cravings for some..

I had 4 slices of PapaJohn's pizza... no bread... with cheese/ bacon/ onions/ mushrooms/ tomatoes/ green peppers... dipped in garlic butter ... over the weekend... and i am still doing fine.. :agree:

It's gotta be liveable... ya know...

i use a combo of www.fitday.com, www.nat.uiuc.edu, and a trusty little food scale on the counter where i prepare my food. everything that i eat gets a quick weigh. i also keep a set of little measuring scoops and a glass measuring cup out on the counter so that even if i don't ACTUALLY measure something, i have a visual reference right in front of me for more accurate guesstimation! hope this helps!

I looked at this recipe http://www.camacdonald.com/lc/Cookbook/0473.html - I was figuring 5 or 6 carbs as well.
