Can I over work my Abs?

My main concern, like most women, is my poochy belly. Currently I do a series of cardio sculpt training, yoga, and pilates. I also live near the beach so lot's of beach combing and this summer, lot's of swimming. I've been working out 5 days a week for the past 2 weeks and I'm impressed with the results. My concern is, I may be over training my abs. My cardio sculpt has about 5 minutes of mat ab work that works lower, upper and obliques. I do this 4 days a week and it's a great work out. However, my pilates and yoga training also contains ab "training". It's more stretching & lengthening movements and breathing rather than the crunches of the cardio sculpt. I really enjoy training my abs and it is a trouble area for me but I've read that doing abs more than 1 or 2 times a week can over train them. Please help...I really don't want to cut out my yoga and Pilates. They make me feel so much better.

hmmm

It does seem as though you are overtraining them.

Can you just leave before the ab portion of the cardio sculpt class?
