I scratched my fanny and it felt different!

Okay...don't think I'm weird...but yes, it did feel different!

I have lost 19 lbs. as of this morning and lots of it has come off my rear end. I am taking on a whole new shape. I've also noticed how different my body feels while soaping in the shower. My face looks a lot different too. I've read many posts of people finding their collar bones, fitting into sleeping bags, squeezing into jeans, discovering cheekbones, etc.

I am really excited about all this!
I am one pound away from my mini goal of 168 on May 9.

As someone before me has once said.. Here's to all you loosers!
Thanks for all your help and support on this forum. May your plates be filled with lots of veggies and your belts with extra holes you had to make to continue to hold up your pants! :agree:

I'm trying to think of a polite way to word this. But, for the first time in a long while, when I look down in the shower, the view is DIFFERENT!!! I saw things I haven't seen from this vantage point in soooooooooo long!!!

Hi alwazbuzy,

I'm glad your bottom feels different! I just thought I'd mention that 'fanny' has a different meaning in British English and any Brits who read this are going to be falling about laughing!

TOO Funny!

Hi Alwazbuzy,

That is so funny, but true!!!
Good for you on your weight
loss!!! I put some $$ in my
bra and it fell out 'cause
not as much is there as there
used to be. :(

By the way, we are next to
being neighbors. I live in
Palatka and work in Gainesville.

Love the weather we are having!
If it's this hot now what is July
going to be like... .

Be blessed!

My DH tells me my bottom feels smaller, I will take his word for that. He mostlikely know better that I :D But what I do know is that my chest has shrunk! Not only do I need new pants, but in need of new bras!

LisaUK Mon, May-05-03 09:16

Robert, I'm a Brit and I just HAD to come and look at this post - just to check what it was really about! lol

On topic though - my stomach has changed shape and I do look like I've lost more than I actually have. It's a good thing!

I haven't weighed myself since Thursday, but it seems that every day something looks, feels or moves differently on my body. lol.
My hubby is LCing also, and at the risk of throwing out too much information, I'll tell you a little something.
Last night we had a little bit of....um....marital fun  and the two of us together had a different feel than before. *blushes*
My bra is also getting too big (something else hubby noticed, but wasn't too happy about. lol). Not just in the cups, but around the band also.

Ok, I think I've said enough to embarrass myself today. lol.

If you really want to feel good about yourself - try scrubbing head to toe with a dry loofah before you shower. After a few days, you'll notice your skin feeling smoother and tighter. Then your husband really won't be able to keep his hands off you! Isn't it great to feel good about your body?

Bebet Mon, May-05-03 10:50

I notice it too. Yeah!

What a thrill it was to see the changes taking place. I've been doing alot of walking and working out so I see mucsles where there used to be fat. It's such a high. I really notice it when I'm shaving my legs. I wore shorts and a shirt yesterday that I am putting away because they are way to big and just make me look awful. I want to look good as I'm losing this weight, not be reminded of how big my clothes were. Keep up the good work.

I haven't been on Atkins very long, but before beginning Atkins, I was on a "normal" low-calorie "fat free" diet and lost 30 lbs. Came to Atkins to get me past a 2 month long stall. I have found that Atkins is much better, so I am going to try to stick with it. I know exactly what you mean- after 30 lbs I can shave without exhaustion, soap up in the shower without having to stretch myself to death, and well, the "marital" activities are much better. If for no other reason, because I feel better. I am having a hard time right now, on induction, then cheat. We can do this thing-it will be worth it!

Ha ha

I have a funny story about this. About a month ago, while at the office, I sat on a chair that had a label stuck to it. It transferred to my butt, which I noticed when I stood up. So, I reach back to pull it off, and the hand sends a message to the brain. Something feels different back here! I think - hmmm, what's this?? Then, like an idiot, BOTH palms have to check out BOTH cheeks. Yep, this is smaller than it used to be! Well, as I'm standing there, ass in hands, with my back to the door, in walks a courier! I nearly died!

Better off to notice these kinda things when you're in the shower! Unfortunately, I'm still partially comatose when I'm in the shower.

RIGHTO!

I have noticed a change and so has the DH. I also notice that my pants feel really different when I am walking. Definitely more room in there than there was 3 months ago!

Okay, Robert & Lisa. I have a friend from the UK. I'm calling her tonight to find out just what "fanny" means!
