Trader Joe's Low-Carb Pasta

Mods, please feel free to move this, I don't know where it belongs.

Has anyone else tried the low-carb pasta that Trader Joe's carries? It's delicious! Unlike every other low-carb pasta I've ever eaten. 10 grams carbs per serving--so definitely for pre-maintenance or maintenance. :)

Yes! I tried it and plan to go back today and buy as much as I can carry home!

I've tried other brands and threw them out instantly, but this stuff - called Bella Vita - is amazingly good. Maybe because it's made in Italy?

TJ also carries Mario Batalli's plain marinara sauce, which I consider the best bottled sauce around.

I'm not following induction terribly strictly, but trying to keep under 20 carbs and this has not hurt me so far, as long as I don't eat the whole box at one sitting.

I have to go get me some!

We had some Bella Vista just the other day -- with sausages and crushed tomatoes. It was to DIE for. I haven't tried any of the other low carb pastas, but I've heard stories...

Sounds wonderful! Can anyone tell me how much pasta is in one serving?

Is that Bella Vita or Bella Vista? Is it advertized as low carb? Never heard of it. Is it imported through an importing company? I don't even bother going down the pasta aisle in the food store, I get the shivers.

It's Bella Vita, imported from Italy by Bella Vita foods, Melrose Park, IL.

A serving is 3/4 cup (dry), and has 10 net carbs.

And it's GOOOOOOD.

Not pasta, but I found some GREAT sauce at Whole Foods, called Cucina Marinara. The only one w/o any sugar in the ingredients list. Cooked some wonderful Whole Foods sausages in it and the whole family loved it.

Thanks Jeannie M. I'll see if a food store by me will order it. I see many people adhere to Atkins or low carb dieting. I'm sure this will be a great find. Doing without pasta can be difficult on this diet, especially if you are Italian or love Italian food. Italians are supposed to eat pasta.... it's the law.

Islandgirl posted the website for Bella vita pasta in the "sticky" concerning pasta.

I went to their site and ordered from there. A huge selection of pasta types and it was cheap, .80 or .90 per package, of course shipping added to that. I'm trying to be really patient until mine arrives.

Please let us know if it is how it taste. I am willing to try it if you think it's at least close to the real thing.

We tried this and my husband thought I had cooked the box and thrown away the pasta. Did I not cook it enough???? I made some sauce from ripe tomatoes from the garden and fresh basil, and we were so disappointed. Tell me if I did something wrong. Cooked it for 8 min I think....what the box directed. Definitely willing to try again if you have any feedback.

Locations for Bella Vita pasta?

Mary and everyone,
What is a "sticky"? I am new here, and am trying to find the website for Bella Vita pasta.

Also, does anyone know of stores, other than Trader Joe's, that carry it?
We don't have a Trader Joe's in Colorado, unfortunately. I found it once
at a Walmart SuperCenter, but they said that was a shipping mistake, and they don't normally cary it. I am trying to talk them into it.
