Lowcarbbaker = YUMMY!!!

Hey guys,
My gosh, i just got my order from the low carb baker, and it is fantastic!! I ordered a loaf of brown bread, a bag of granola, and some of the chocolate crisp bars. But the bread!! It has the texture of REAL bread. Smaller yes, but light and soft! (though not tiny - about 3/4 the size of a regular loaf). I ate it untoasted with some butter on it, and it is pretty darn good. I would definatly buy it again ($7 for 16 slices). The granola is super yummy too - would be great in yogurt :) I am very impressed. I just thought i would pass this info on - i have seen loads of people talk about it, but have never seen a review. YUM! I give it 8/10 (ten being real bread) :)

PS - the brown bread only has 1.3 grams of carbs per piece - YIPPPPEEEEE *doing the yummy bread dance*... (i am so so very sad that my life has been reduced to this... lol)

Good to know, thanks for the review. (I'm picturing you doing a happy bread dance - very amusing :) :) :) )

WOW, great to hear, faeriegirl!!!!!!! Now I have some incentive to get some, myself :)

My friends who tried the bread weren't too enthusiastic, so it's nice to get another opinion. And the carbs are really LOW, so you can make a sandwich w/o feeling guilty :)

BTW, I hear their muffins and tortillas are very good.

Maybe it took me trying that heavier dense bread to really appreciate this one? It still has that soy taste to it (although not nearly as strong)... I never was a fan of the thick richer breads like rye, or pumpernickel. I can't wait to order his pastas/tortillas when he gets them up and running again. When my bf went to go and pick it up, he said that he wants everyone to try the ice cream - it apparently is to die for. Anyways, i don't want to rave too too much about the bread - it was good. It obviously isn't 'real' bread, but it would be good for sandwiches, or maybe toast with SF jam :)

Low carb Baker

Hi there,
I am fairly new to the site, just a week or two and just found this area...
You mentioned a "lowcarb baker" Is it a real baker you are talking about in your area, or is it a mail order thing? I have been on Atkins...(and sometimes not) for a couple of weeks now...have lost some, but seem to have lost my incentive very early in the game....dying for bread, pasta etc. If I could find some bread I could eat I would love it. :D
And it would certainly help keep me on the straight and narrow..
Hope to talk with you again :wave:

I haven't been there yet, or tried his products, but the site should give you all the info you need!

Hi Jean,
Thank you sooooo much, I will probably order some of the tortillas and bread mixes...it is what I am missing most I think...
Have to go back to square one induction tomorrow...been a rocky weekend...company and food...not good combos for me when I am trying to change things...
Maybe talk to you again... :wave:
