Quick Question
Is it true that one you stop eating low carbs and go back to eating whatever you want taht you instantly gain all the weight back?
I am new to the whole low carb diet and I am afriad that when I reach my goal weight and I stop dieting that I will gain all the weight back.... |
Low Carb is a way of Life , not a diet!!!!

I guess that's why once you've lost the weight you want to, you shift into maintenance and slowly add certain carbs all the while checking to see how your body reacts.

i think what happens is that instead of slowly incorperating healthy carbs back into one's diet, people just start eating their 'old way' and the weight just creeps back on. A slice of cake here, a brownie there...before you know it, your pants don't fit!

With any sort of weight loss plan, you need to make it into a lifestyle. You can't just quick fix weight loss, it just doesn't work, especially with low carb. Low carb is a lifestyle. I would definitely get into the habit of being conscious about your intake still, even if you're at goal, and make exercise a part of your lifestyle. Figure out your carb level and give yourself a five pound window (I'm going by the Atkins and every other diet plan I know of). Monitor your stats on a weekly basis. If you lose track of it, you might lose it completely. That's when the weight starts creeping back.
