all-bran

I am really digging on all-bran! It looks like rabbit poop, but it taste really good.

It has 6 grams of effective carbs per serving, and it helps keep you regular.

The best thing is mix it with a dash of Splenda, and coat it with heavy cream. Let it sit so it gets kind of soft. It is highly delicious!

Who knew I'd be a fan of bran???

6 grams may not seem like much, but with the carbs from the cream...and the fact I only get 20-25g a day of carbs, I'll have to take your word on it... it does sound good to eat "real" cereal, though!

okay... according to Fitday, the net carbs on a serving of this is only 5!

And, it's really really really really really yummy!!!

All bran extra fiber is amazing! Lately I have been addind 1/2 container of the splenda sweetend FF SF yogurt to mine, It reminds me of eating granola!

NEWS!!! The Kellogg's Bran Buds have only *3* effective carbs per serving!!!!

They are DELICIOUS!!! (especially with one pack of Splenda and two tablespoons of heavy cream)

It's a great breakfast, and it helps you stay regular. I had a problem with constipation while I started Atkin's... now I poop everyday.

Actually, it's 12 net carbs per 1/3 cup serving. Total carbs 23.97, fiber 11.97, and 8.04 grams of sugar!!

Did a google search and diet-data.com had this listed.

 And here I was, ready to go out and buy it.

galaga6846 Thu, Sep-11-03 20:00

WHAT? The Kellogg's box I counted three!!!

Oh poo...

Here's right from the box (I'm copying the box)
TOTAL CArB: 24g
Dietary Fiber: 13g
Soluble Fiber: 3g
Insoluble Fiber: 10g
Sugars: 8g
Other Carb: 3g

Okay... I'm confused. Help me with the carb count.

jmarionw Thu, Sep-11-03 20:10

Sorry!

Soluble fiber and insoluble fiber when added = total fiber. So Total Fiber is actually only 13. You probably shouldn't count the soluble fiber, so you only minus out the 10 insoluble. So I guess that makes it 14 carbs for a 1/3 cup! OUCH

I am sooooooooooooooooooooo sad!
I really love this for breakfast, and it's something that I look forward to every morning...
Oh well.

I can live without it, I guess.

'All Bran' Doesn't that imply ALL Bran? :skull:
Someone look at their box label and tell me what the second ingredient is.

If you purchase the Quakers wheat bran used for making muffins and cookies it only has 2 net carbs for 1/2 cup...

Nutlettes are 6g of carbs for 1/2 cup and they have powdered soy milk already on them so you (I know this is gross) just add water.

I suppose 1 or 2 tbsps of cream wouldnt kill it though if you can spare the carbs.

Yeah I know, they really look like turtle food or something, and the container looks like one you find in a pet store.
