I need an Atkins buddy

I'm looking for someone that would be willing to be a phone buddy...

This forum is great, but I'm looking for more of a personal connection.

Here's my profile:

A: I'm a married male in the Chicago area, whose wife has a great metabolism and loves cookies and cakes (UGGH!)
B: I have been on Atkins before, lost 30 lbs., cheated, and cheated, and cheated, and have had trouble getting back on it.
C: I need to lose an additional 60lbs.
D: I would like to be able to call on someone during my weak moments (and be there for someone during their week moments.)
E: I work out at least a few times a week.

If you feel that you need an Atkins buddy as well, and are interested in partnering up and dropping pounds, please e-mail me at ********
Thanks,
JF3

Why does it have to be by phone???? Don't get it. Sorry.

Good luck on your weight loss journey. :wiggle:

JF3 - I'd be happy to be your buddy, but can we just e-mail each other or setup IM. My husband has the same metobolism as your wife, grrrr. I fell of the wagon in the summer and am now back on. I need to lose 30+ lbs.

We'll all be your buddy, but phone calls are expensive and most of us are not in your area. It could also create personal problems in our own relationships. We all have access to instant messengers in profiles-add some of us that you feel would be of help! If you have a macintosh-I have iChat AV and would be able to teleconference face to face if you have it too.

i do agree that it would be nice to find someone in your area to be able to call wherever you are for a quick "help me i am going to eat this donut" type support. seriously i dont know why it might cause problems in a relationship...he never said it had to be another woman!! but im is second best for when you are around a computer.

No offense to anyone. I'm just a little disappointed.

Generally, I feel I get a better positive reaction when speaking to someone directly instead of typing back and forth. I'm in the computer field, so you'd think that I'd be used to it by now.

There's just something so undramatic about e-mail. Not to mention inconvenient when out and about.

Thanks for the offer of assistance anyway.
