Chili's chili

does anyone have any idea how many carbs are in a bowl or cup of Chili's chili? The stuff I brew up at home is very low carb - no tomato sauce, no beans, no masa - just peppers, beef and other spices.

Chili's has no beans but I'm pretty sure I can detect some tomato sauce and no doubt some flour for thickener.

It's possible that it could be anywhere from 8 to 30 grams for a one cup serving. I'm basing this on a cross section of chilis without beans from the Netzer food count book.

Most restaurants have web sites, or nutrition pamphlets available in their stores. You might try those sources for the real counts.

If you go to www.chilis.com you might find the info. First you have to find the location near you, the the menu lists will pop up. I only took a quick peek at the site, so I didn't get to the point where the nutritional info is provided (if it is).

If it isn't, you can always email them and ask for the nutrional info. You might want to ask for the full nutrition list rather than just asking for the carb count. That way you'll get the carbs, fiber, sugar, fat etc, rather than someone's interpretation of "carbs".
