LilHellion's Triumph

Hello fellow lo-carbers!

It is now my turn to write about success using a low carb WOL. I have been overweight since puberty. I come from a family of "Southern Belles" who, throughout my life, have discussed weight issues with me. Only to make it worse. I heard all the advice about the food pyramid, going vegan and "just stop eating". You all know where that got me!

May 19, 2006. 195 pounds

The beginning of my new life. I read the books. I worked the plan. I worked out. I rarely cheated. Most importantly, I put myself first for the first time in my life. I am at heart, a caregiver. Putting everyone else's needs before my own. No more. It was a struggle to break the old patterns. But I did it.

September 19, 2006. 155 pounds

I made my first goal. This WOE has become second nature for me. I count carbs and calories. I plan what I eat. I do 3.25 miles 6 days a week on the treadmill. I do yoga at least 3 days per week. I've adapted recipes to fit my menus. I eat when I am hungry. Not by a set schedule. I never eat breakfast. I feel SO good!

October 19, 2006. 145 pounds. Measurements 40-30-40

10 pounds below original goal. Still overweight according to the BMI. I like how I look and feel and parts of me are getting too bony. I decided to stop at this weight. I still watch everything I eat. I work out. I LOVE my new body and just got a whole new wardrobe for the first time in my life. I am 39 years old and have never felt more sexy and ALIVE. I have promised myself that I WILL maintain my weight and my health. It can be done. It takes alot of work, planning and EFFORT. I wish all the best for all of you on your own personal journies. THANK you for this site and all the support I have received over the last 5 months.

May 29, 2007 139 lbs. Size 6-8 jeans.

56 pounds gone. I have never felt better. I'll have to get a new pic. I work out about 3 times per week. I have no problem sticking with this WOL. I never thought I would see 155 let alone 139. I'm going for 125. Still have a bit of a belly fat as well as butt and thighs. This plan works for me effortlessly for the most part. I do planned cheats. I find they are fewer and farther between. I just don't feel well eating the old foods. For all those who are struggling. HANG in there! Life is good when you are feeling your best!
