About those Pork Rinds?

Hello Everyone,

I live in the northeast and so far I have found and purchased only 1 bag of Pork Rinds. The brand name is WISE - original flavor. The ingredients list several spices - paprika, chili pepper, black pepper, celery sead, oregano, and coriander. They taste fairly plain but bacon-y.

When I began to crush them to make crumbs the smell made my kids and husband just about run out of the house! If we had a dog - I would have blamed it !!!

Do they all smell like this?

Mine really don't smell, unless you really take a strong whiff of them. ;) I use Porky's brand, made by Trophy, but I'm in Canada, so I don't know if you have those or not.

Let's put it this way: I made the pork rind french toast, and they passed the "unsuspecting boyfriend" test. ;) He couldn't believe there were pork rinds in it!

Ha, that is sooooo funny- I did that to my bf too! I made him "breaded" chicken strips. Tell me, how do you make the french toast? Do you use the Atkins bake mix to make the bread?

The pork rinds I've used have the same smell, but I am used to the smell. I used to eat pork rinds right out of the bag as a snack. I curb the smell by crushing them in their original bag with a small slit so the air can escape. Hope this helps. :)

Hi there, my name is Kristie. I'm from Kitchener, Ontario Canada. Just learning this board. I'm about 135lbs and need to lose about 10-15 lbs before I can look great in a bikini. Exercise is a must at 34 years old! Great stuff available in foods. The Keto brand sounds great.
