New to site and starting again

Hi everyone;
Im really excited about finding this site for support among other things. Ive tried the Atkins Diet before but never stuck without probably because I had no support. I'm now starting the diet again at my heaviest weight ever 309lbs and I'm 5'10. I carried 250 ok not looking that bad but over 300lbs is just to much. I'm on day 3of the program and I'm feeling really good. Now that I know about this site I plan on keeping updated and I'll advise you of my progress. Nice to be here. Kelly

Welcome aboard Kelly!

That's a good way to look at it. Shoot for 250 in several smaller goals. Once you're there, you can re-think if/how much you need to lose.

Keep us posted on your progress!

Welcome! I am sure you will find lots of support on this board. Have you started a journal yet? It is a great tool.

hi Kelly, welcome aboard

Yes, frequent posting is rumoured to be a great boon to the weight loss efforts ;) .. Actually, participation in a group really is helpful with the motivation and support. Hope the rest of the Induction goes well for you.

Nice to have you join us, and I'm looking forward to more posts about your low-carbing success.

Hi Kelly - Wa'il's right about setting mini goals.

It is far more *excting* a journey to celebrate every 10 pounds or whatevery you set up for yourself. Sure makes the task less overwhelming.

This WOE works, and once you start to see results and the results of all the folks who post here, you will get totally *hooked*. Support is so important early on, so I'm glad you found us.

Welcome!
