low carb breakfast suggestions?

Hello all, I am only new here so look forward to some support and hints along the way. I am doing the Slim Forever plan and wonder what I can have for breakfast without having to cook something. I have always had cereal and a banana but that has to stop and I cannot stomach a hot breakfast. Is there a protein shake of some kind or any other suggestions??
Thanks, Jean

I'm not familiar with your plan, but you might check the recipe section (see the orange tabs above). I think I've seen a protein shake recipe somewhere.

Hi Mishimc,

Welcome to another Aussie. :)

It's difficult to make any meal suggestions without knowing anything about your plan. ;) But I would suggest you have a look at our Breakfast Ideas subforum. I'm sure you'll find some ideas there.

And if you haven't already seen our Oz/NZ section, do have a look there for local help.

Cheers, matey.

Thank you Katwoman and an fellow Aussie - Rosebud [and a Queenslander at that LOL] for the welcome to here. Lots of reading to do - I am yet to find a protein shake recipe but will keep looking. Otherwise I guess I could make up a quiche variation and just warm that up a little for breakfast, Jean

I sometimes make a sort of muesli from sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, flaked almonds, almond flour and a few oats and a little bran. It's crunchy and goes down well with some sweetener and cream on it.

Here are some links to various protein shakes, these should hopefully give you some ideas, and from these you'll be able make up your own versions as well:
