surgical menopause at 39

Looking for some help and inspiration from someone who is in the same boat. Is weight loss possible while on HRT???

I'm in kind of the same boat as you. I had a surgical menopause at 45. Since then, I have been able to lose weight. I did not take hormone replacement therapy because I had cancer. In fact, I had to take something that would block even more estrogen in my body. So I was told I would gain weight, but that hasn't happened. I really think the low carb helps. With HRT I think you won't find it too hard to lose weight especially on low carb.

Curious to see other posts... I am 33 and been on an HRT patch for about a month and a half. I have really started putting on weight since HRT. I need to get back to lo-carb, but am reluctant if I wont see results.

I had my surgery 2 years ago. I was 44 then. I have been on HRT (patch) ever since and have been able to lose weight. It is slower but much better since I got back on the LC wagon!
