Keytone Strips

Can anyone give me some advice on the correct type of strips to use for measuring keytosis? The ones that I have used in the past haven't worked very well, yet I continued to burn fat at a very rapid pace. So after much debate I decided that the strips were just plain wrong. What do you think?

The name brand is Ketostix.

You are correct.....they don't work very well but many beginners like to use them for confirmation. I am willing to bet anyone that has been on low carb for more than 4 months no longer use the things due to the misreadings and aggrivation they cause.

I bought one bottle when I started.....8 months later I threw out the remainer of the strips because I no longer needed them. I know exactly when I am in ketosis and when I am not ;)

Inspiration

It's really not that inspiring after you have been trying really hard and you see that your stick doesn't turn...

Thanks for the reply.

One last thing... I kinda cheated at lunch today and had a few fried okra pieces... Is that really bad in the way of carbs?

Okra no. If they were breaded a bit. It's the breading that tends to be over carby :)
