Saved by the ants!
 

Yesterday I let lunch get a little too late, so when I was outside hanging laundry, I was REALLY hungry. Looked over at the fig bush (still a bush; not up to tree status yet). First year bearing--and there were THREE ripe ones! Wowie! And WAY over any carb limit I can make up a story to explain.

Well, I'm safe. Two were completely covered in ants. I had my one, wonderful!, fig, and let the ants have the others.

Luckily the ants got to them before you did. Otherwise, you may have had all three!

I bet you never thought you would see the day you would be glad that ants got to something before you did!
