Butter
Help please
Many recipies refur to a "stick of butter" We buy butter by the pound... is that the same... or is a stick smaller... and if so... any idea what it would amount to... like a quarter of a pound???? or something like that thanx... |
hi, a stick of butter I believe is 1/4 of the pound. Usually it appears cut horizontally. I saw butter (way more$) cut into sticks and this was what it looked like.
hope that helps |
Right, a stick = 1/4 pound of butter.
To measure it, cut the pound of butter lengthwise, then cut eat slab again lengthwise. Or just cut a pound of butter into 4 equal pieces & use one. |
As the others stated .. it's ¼ lb. Or ½ cup.
