Taco Bell
 

Hello all,
Hope all are doing well. I have lost 14 lbs in 3 weeks. I am so happy.
Does anyone know if we are aloud to eat a taco salad from Taco Bell with just sour cream on it? I did not eat the shell either. I just wanted to eat out and did not want no burgers.

I was in a Mexican restaurant about a week ago and ordered a taco salad without the beans (and it was YUMMY!!!). If Taco Bell's salad has beans make sure to order one without -- I think that refried beans are pretty high on the carb scale.

It would probably be lower if you requested it without the beans, but the meat also has carbs in it from the taco seasoning.

Thank you so much. I see they have a book out about fast food eating but I can not get it right now. My baby girl is sick and they think it may be mold so I need to have my air cond. and ducts cleaned out. She has to be on a breathing machine.

:yay: I went to Taco Bell once since I became a LCer. It was after a very busy day of work and school and I broke down and had a Nachos Bell Grande. I ate every last drop without guilt :doah: or a spike in insulin. I still managed to lose 1/2 lb. that week. But, I wll not eat there without the entire package, beans and all. :nono: Therefore I avoid that place.

Even without the beans and shell, I would wonder how many carbs are in the taco sauce in the meat they use

I used to have the Atkins pocket carb counter until my cats decided to spill the dogs fish oil for his food on it and it said that a taco salad without the shell has I think 18 or 20 carbs in it. Not too bad if you ask me since it fills me up with no problem.

This was one of my favorite meals at one point... Delish without the beans and shell...

I love the chicken soft tacos, sans tortilla, with a shot of sour cream and one packet of the mild sauce (mild sauce is 1g carb per packet). It's so heavenly!

can you order it w/o the beans? will they make it that way?

Thank you all so much for the info. Yes you can order without the beans. I know they sell a book on what kind of foods you can eat at fast foods places. I will have to look into it once the baby is feeling better. For now I think I will stick to eating at home. I know when I order pizza for the family I eat the cheese and pepperoni off one piece and the baby eats the crust and the bread lol. I went to the Dr. and I lost another pound yippee. I am on a roll.
