Vitamins

Hi

Just started induction and not sure which vitamins to take Basic 3 plus essential oils or Atkins Nutra pack?

Do you have to take them forever and will this not cost a fortune!

Help!!!

I was taking Boots own brand one a day multivits, but changed over to Atkins Basic 3 when Boots started stocking them, and I read the difference in the nutritional %ages which is a massive difference!

That's the only supplement I take.

Hi Whisky

You can take the Atkins vitamins and minerals if you want to. I have been taking the ABC Plus from Holland and Barrett for a couple of years now. They also contain lots of different minerals.

It is up to you what you take. It is a good idea to take some form of vitamin and mineral supplement. I find that they are a good insurance policy, anyway.

I also take additional potassium and magnesium as I found after some time that I needed more of this minerals.

Check out the Nutrition and Supplements Forum.

Hi whiskey, I think its basically up to you, I don't take any form of vitamins, I did try the Atkins basic formula but felt SO awful I couldn't continue on them for longer than 5 days! So trial and error works....

Thanks folks, I think I'll try the Atkins introduction pack and see how I get on with these.

The most important time to take multivits is while you are on such a low-carb regime that you can't eat the fruit and veg to get the vitamins in your system any other way. On Atkins this would apply especially during induction.
