Question about exercise

I just started exercising this week even though I was still losing without much of it. (just little things) But when I get back home, i feel horrible, drained, and get a headache. Just feel exhausted. I always thought exercise made you feel better? Is this just in the beginning till my body adjusts to being active...since being in such a state of inactivity...Just wondering if this is normal.

Thanks for any help, advice, or comments.

You may want to try adding more carbs on the days you exercised. This happened to me too, and I was exasperated bcs. I exercised before this WOL, and only experienced this after starting Atkins. Someone on this Board suggesting adding more carbs..which helped alot. I tried to add them in the form of non-impact fiber carbs which also worked (although I'm not sure why). Hope that helps.

You may be overdoing the exercise. Take a day off and start a little slower. Then slowly increase the exercise amount each day.

The headache could be due to dehydration. Drink more water during the exercise.

I have just started really working out for the past couple of weeks myself. I have been feeling great! I have found on the days I work out if I eat the more "fatty" things it helps a great deal, that is when I feel like I can run forever. Side note:(I hate to run.) Yes, I do know the feeling though, some days I feel exhausted. When I think back though I realize those are the days I have really not had all that much to eat. Props to you for working out!!!! I have lost a lot of weight in just a couple of weeks from starting to go to the gym. So I think you have made a great decision. Keep it up, and maybe try eating more!
