I slipped up, so please help!!

Hi everyone. Just wanted to tell you that I really slipped up today :o . I don't know what happened, I've been on Induction since July 18th. But after I slipped today and the way I feel now I'm not going to do that again. Do you all think I should start Induction all over  ?? I wish I knew what started the cravings. Let me know what all of you think about starting over. Thanks for all your input. It really helps to hear from people that have been there before.

No. Be more vigilant, drink more water, stay away from temptation and remain at your current carb level.

Mistakes happen - they are the best way to learn. Abusing Induction, however, can lead to not even it working for you.

Forgive yourself and head into tomorrow.

I really don't think it's necessary to do the full 2 weeks of induction all over again because of one slip. Go back to the level of carbs that you were at and move on. What I would suggest, though, is to think about what it was that caused you to "slip". There are many things that can cause unexpected cravings such as stress, boredom, lonliness or anger (emotional eating). Sometimes it's a simple as finding yourself hungry because you skipped a meal and found yourself in a situation where there were only high carb choices to eat (lack of planning). Whatever it was, develop a plan to avoid it happening again. For example, if it was boredom maybe you could decide that the next time you are bored and tempted to much high carb stuff you will go for a walk instead. If it was lonliness or anger, try to find something to deal with the emotion other than food, like calling a friend or journaling. Then....follow through on the plan. We've all had slips from time to time; it's part of being human and part of the whole learning process, so don't beat yourself up over it. Forgive yourself, pick yourself up, dust yourself off and get right back on track again. Mistakes aren't a bad thing unless you don't take the opportunity to learn from them.
