About Outback...and Atkins
The Outback Test Thread made me think...Outback is a GREAT place to get a good LC meal.
I went there a few weeks ago and ordered, Prime Rib with mixed veggies no taters!! Got a Caesar Salad and had 1 Miller lite beer. It was fabulous and I felt just as satisfied as I would have had I had the salad, all the bread, the steak a baked potatoe....and then desert :-) |
I love to go there - but I do miss eating their bread - it was one of my favorites. I also tell them to leave the croutons off my salad.
|
their steaks rock!!! We also have a DownUnder here, and Outback is 10,000 times better. Good salads and veggies, too.
I do miss the blooming onion, although I've only had it once. And if you split it with another person, you basically can't eat an entree anymore....so it's kind of a waste for a steakhouse visit. |
My favorite is the Outback Special with the sauteed mushrooms instead of the potato and salad (no croutons) with bleu cheese! You don't even miss the potato. In fact, my non-low-carb husband ordered the exact same thing the last time we went because the time before, he kept trying to steal my mushrooms (until I stabbed him with a fork). He loved it and said HE didn't even miss the potato! Yum!

I went to Outback once and asked the waiter if their chicken wings were breaded, he said they were, I said "nevermind then", he said that I could get them without breading...I thought that was great!! They were awesome!

They have the best grilled tuna steak, it's amazing!
|
Ummm....You guys are making my mouth water. I love Outback!!!
|
I :rheart: Outback. The filet mignon is my favorite.
|
great. Now I can't wait to go there again ... yumyumyum. At least it's allowed.
:-D |
Outback is great. The salad is yummy, their steaks are tasty, and they have a nice assortment of side veggies. A really great LC place!
|
I get their wings when I go there. You can order them 'naked' which means unbreaded.
|
I love their steaks, minus the seasonings
