Did I lose everything?????????????

I had some banana bread last night. My 2 weeks of induction are over Monday night. I started at 191 and this morning weighed in at 177. Do I just start from the beginning? I used a Ketostix and I'm not in ketosis anymore whereas before it was mostly dark purple.

I don't think you need to start over-just get rid of the banana bread. Sounds like you have lost weight! That is excellent.

I went over my carb limit over Xmas once or twice without any major harmful results. I just was really careful after that and entered back into ketosis in a couple of days.

No, you didn't lose everything. In fact, you probably gained insight.

Learning to low-carb is a process, a long and gratifying learning process. Eating off plan is just part of it.

If you didn't you would never know what your triggers were or why you did it. You would never discover why you are so attracted to carbs. And you would miss the opportunity of being truly grateful for low-carbing when you wake up with a carb hangover. :)

You only need to restart induction if you find that eating the banana bread is triggering cravings for more carbs. Otherwise, just get back on track and keep doing what you were doing. I had a little slip-up with banana bread myself a while ago (at a friend's house). It didn't trigger cravings and I just went right back to ongoing weight loss the next day.

Congratulations on your success so far! We all fall off plan occasionally. The important thing is to pick yourself up and get back on. It's when one slip up leads to another that people get in trouble.

I think that it was my period that triggered it. I also noticed that I had a lot of cramps on my first day . I NEVER have cramps. Also, has your period been changed in any way during induction? Normally I go 7 days w/ the 4th day being clean. I am currently on my 3rd day of my period and bleeding heavier than normal.

Yes, my period too have changed. I used to never have cramps but since I starting this WOE I have been experiencing mild ones. The bleeding is also heavier than before too. When I first notice these changes, I thought that it was because of stress. Then I thought that it was because I was getting older and my body was changing. It wasn't until later that I thought that it was because of the way that I was eating.
