Another newb! Hello!

Well I finally started the Atkins Induction this week and I am on day 3. Over the past [2] days I have lost 4lbs. :yay: I am finding it difficult to eat the extra food and I have been under 20 carbs for the first [2] days. I have had a headache for 3 days, an upset stomach, and have been quite tired...oh well...This is the price I will have to pay for a few days until my body adjusts, I'm sure.

I did notice this morning that my "lovehandles" are smaller and my watch is fitting more loose. This is a good thing.

I previosuly weighed about 295lb and lost the 30lbs in a about 5months previously by eating salmon and chicken daily and a side of veggies combinded with exercise. This was about 1 year ago and I thought it was time to try something new since I am sick of salmon. I've been fluctuating between 255 - 265 for about a year now. All those damn cruises get me everytime...

Thanks you all the reading support so far!! I look forward to reaching my goal by 6/1/04.

Welcome! I'm sure low carb will be a welcome change for you. Try to get those 20 carbs in and hang in there - the tiredness and headaches should go away soon.

Hello there..not going to call you TooFat..pretty soon you will be TooSkinny. I am glad you are here. This is a great place to get all the support you need. We do have a Triple Digits Club here on the forum. It is on the main page. Lots of wonderful ppl and support.

Another thing to do is get yourself a journal started so you can keep track of how you feel and what you eat.

I know after 2 weeks on the induction you will feel great. Got to get all those bad carbs out and the good ones in. Keep up the good job..you are already on your way to a new you.

Welcome aboard!
The first week is the hardest. I felt like I had the flu. It is well worth going through the withdrawls. You'll feel 100% better once you get through to the other side.

Keep you the great work!
