Wawa Chicken Salad??
Does anyone know if its OK to eat Wawa chicken salad while on induction? I'm actaully into my 3rd week of induction but I still want to stay as close to 20g carbs per day as possible. On Wawa's website the list a 4oz side of Chicken Salad as containing 5g carbs, 1g coming from surgar. I was thinking about having this for lunch, along with a side of hot peppers and pickles. Any thoughts??
Thanks, Patrick |
I don't think it should be a problem as long as you watch your portion size.

what is wawa chicken salad?

Thanks
Thanks, I thought it would be alright but I wanted to hear others thoughts. I really want to stay in Ketosis to speed up my weight loss. At least until Thanksgiving, that would put me at 4 weeks induction.

Wawa
Wawa is like a Deli store. They have them all over the East Coast. They make hoagies and sandwiches which are really good. I miss eating them. But at least I can eat whats inside the roll.

Induction involves more than just keeping to 20 g of carbs per day. It also limits the foods you eat. I have stayed near 20 g of carbs per day but expanded the foods I eat so I am not on induction. Should be no prob with the chicken salad. I would point out that for me anyway, portion size and quantity still counts so be conscious of that

Just finished
Well I just finished my Wawa chicken salad for lunch and it was really good. A perfect quick and easy meal. 4oz of chicken salad, a side of hot peppers and pickles, and a Caffeine Free Diet Coke for only $4. Chicken Salad had 5g carbs and 22g of protein. 2grams of fiber, 1g sugar.

I was so glad to see this post. I LOVE WaWa chicken salad and also wondered about the carb content. I noticed that in the book, Dr. A says to prepare salads such as these yourself so you know the counts. Thanks!
