So what have you been eating so far? Are you taking supplements?

If you're eating enough and taking LOTS of vitamins, could you just be sick?

This is flu season.

As SueJ asked...

Lisa, there are many factors. Please post a basic of what you have been eating, drinking and supplements.

It is possible to upset your electrolyte balance while in the induction phase if you aren't 'doing it' right. Sodium and potassium are the major components of blood pressure and you can have what is called an orthostatic drop, i.e., you get up from a laying/sitting position and your blood pressure does not compensate quickly enough.

Please post more info so that we can be of some assistance.

Regards,
Karla

Hi all

Breakfast:
2 Bacon, 2 Eggs

Lunch:
Omelette (3 eggs) with ham and cheese

Dinner:
Chicken pieces with cream, mayo, 2 boiled eggs over a salad

This stays more or less the same each day

I also take a vitamin tablet, psyllium husks, lecithin granules.

I've weighed in today which is day 7 have lost 2 1/2 pounds but no body fat !

What do you think

Can I add to that

I also better mention that my blood pressure is normally low about 120/65 or 120/70 ish.

I don't know whether this makes a difference ??

Thanks for your help

Lisa

I'm not sure if I know enough yet to give really good advice, but it seems that you may not be eating enough. I know I'm eating way more than you have posted that you are eating, and I lost 5 lbs for my first week (7days). I also have not felt any dizzyness or anything. I only had headaches the first day or two, and not any more tiredness than usual, although I slept almost all day yesterday. But that I think was more due to an unusually late night for me (out till 2am, when I normally go to sleep at 10pm). Please forgive me if I'm making a wrong assumption - I'm pretty new to this, as well

I would suggest grabing yourself some Potassium Compound (phospahte / chloride / sulfate) 25mg of each mixed, taken twice daily. Also a magnesium, calcium mixture taken 2-3 times daily.

I'm not sure but 7 eggs a day? perhaps a few too many? i dont know alot about eggs though ;) but they are high in sodium arnt they?

I just went to fitday.com to tally up what you eat, and it looks like it's less than 10 carbs a day. I don't know exactly how much of each item you ate, but I was trying to be generous with the amounts.

If you're only eating 10 carbs, you're STARVING! No wonder you passed out.

Eat more. You're supposed to go for 20 carbs. The average person eats well over 300 a day, so 20 is a fraction and that's as low as you should go.

You shouldn't be living on eggs alone.

I know that for me to lose weight I need to up my calories and fats. Weird isn't it!

Try to add some salads w/ mayo (homemade though because usually they make w/ sugars) like turkey salad, tuna, shrimp or egg salad.

Have some fatty dressings w/ low carb counts and as they say... more veggies. Two-three cups of allowed veggies a day.

Eat... the whole reason this works for some many is we are finally allowed to eat.

Are you urinating a lot too? I had trouble with dizziness at first too. I take an electrolyte product that has virtually no carbs (Emer'gen-C w/MSM). I've found the dizziness will gradually go away after a few weeks, but do arise slowly. Don't try to lose too fast. You may want to eat more.
