Did you gain weight at 1st?

When I 1st started TSP about 4 weeks ago I lost 4 lbs. but since then I have gained 5 for a net gain of 1 lb. Now I know I shouldn't freak, especially bc it's my TOM, but I just wanted to know what the course has been for all of you.

Hi Carpathia1,
For me I lost some lbs right away. First week I lost a good 4 lbs. Second week it started to slow down, but I have been losing every week up until 2 weeks ago. I went from 146 to 150 back and forth for 2 weeks. This morning I lost a pound. I stoped eating carbs like cheese at night. I think that helped. No cheating with bad carbs, and keeping good carbs to 20. I have lost 24 lbs in a little over 2 months. I can hardly wait for the next lb to go. Good luck to you. You will lose the lbs if you stick to it. It is normal to go up and down sometimes.

I was doing ss then switched to schwarzbein.. I gained a few lbs and my waist seemed to thicken up.. I have since learned that i have a thryoid problem and also have noticed that my insulin came back high and they are retested that tomorrow.. It seems when i eat a lot of fat i also gain.. not sure why!

I lost a pound a week for a month then 1/2 lb for a couple of weeks. I've stalled now, but I'm close to where I should be so the last 5 will be slow. I haven't lost for a month but lost an inch off each my waist and butt and 1/2 off my thighs with no exercise!! I do swing 2 lb for a day or 2 when TOM comes but it's hormones and water weight and goes away. Any fluctuation is normal. Stick with it!!
