sugar free block of chocolate ingr. question
I bought a block of sugar free chocolate, the problem is no nutrition panel and I don't know the carb count. Can anyone help? Here's the ingredients.Malitol, cocca butter, chocolate liquor, sodium caseinate,
milkfat, soya lecitin, leithin (an emulsified) vanallin, natural flavor and salt. They had two kinds, this and a darker chocolate. Can I use this to make truffles? |
Most of the sugar free chocolate I've bought has carbs listed on the ingredients. I think they are from the maltitol, but supposedly they don't affect our blood sugar so some count them and some don't. If you haven't had maltitol before don't eat a lot of it the first time. I had some a few weeks ago and was up all night with a stomach ache. -And stay close to a restroom it has a laxative effect.

Thanks, then I think i'll try to make the truffles out of it,and only eat it in moderation, and stay close to the bathroom!I found this really cool place, some time of a mennonite farmers market, but everything is in bulk, and no nutritional panel.Oh well!
