diaformin/metformin users please....need advice!
 

I have recently been prescribed diaformin (found out I have IR),,,,, 1,000ml,,one tablet a day.... ummmmm,,,,whats it used for,,,,,what does it help with,,,will it help with the weight loss? Do i low carb still on this medication?

Anyone had good results using this type of medication?

If it helps my glucose tollerence test results for insullin resistance was 3.9,,,dont know if anyone out there knows what this means,,,but thought I would throw it in,,, I also have had polycystic ovaries for 10 years,,,take no meds for it,,,,,had one child through IVF 7 years ago (due to this condition)

I have just been prescriped Diaformin by my Doctor. I have been on thirod medication for about 4 months 100mg. When I went back he increased the dose to 150mg I queried about my being very resistant to losing weight and the with hyperthoridism you still may not lose weigth even with the pills. Which I did't even though I exercise every day.

The doctor said that with the diaformin I should lose about 12 kilos' I think that is about 26 pounds.
