ready to give up

I have never been so discouraged. I started Atkins on the 26th of Feb and have lost one (count 'em!!) pound.

I've been so good too. My carbs at 20, fat and protein at the proper levels. Even the calories at 10x my weight. Drank a minimum of 64oz a day.

However, I did go away for 4 days and, though I stayed LC the booze level sky rocketed. The sticks stayed purple during the whole time.

LC'ing does make me feel better (emotionally and physically), so I shan't change that, but I do wish the SOME weight would drop off.

It's just so depressing...

Well it sounds like the booze stalls you. I would avoid it.

Some people are slower then others but it does work and you feel good and satisified with food. Also, you may want to try to up your calories some and see if that has an effect. I find I need more then 10X to lose.

And did you take measurements, with lcing we usually are losing inches and lbs.

All the best to you.

Don't give up Donna. As you will read in many threads...this is NOT a fast weight loss plan. It is a way of life, and the whole point is to get healthy.
Another thing...the sticks being purple can be from dehydration...which is a common side affect of alcohol.
Just stick with this WOE/WOL and it will pay off in the end.

Hi,

Please, don't give up! What's the alternative: go on starvation again, gain even more plus lose all the benefits of lowcarbing? You say yourself that you are feeling much better. Just stick to it this time!
Maybe you could start a journal here so we can help you day by day. We could give you a better advice if we could see what you've been eating.
Keep trying!

please try to hang on,

I had a weekend off program and gained 2-3 lbs and it took almost 2 weeks to take it off again,

what I noticed was that the last 2 days of this stall my legs were edemic, I could SEE the water retention,

it is important that one stays on program,

for me the benefit of this program is the health issues, the weight loss is the cherry on the hot fudge sundae, all low carb of course,

not to hurt in all my joints, not to have the fatigue,

get back on induction, use your carbs for healthy vegetables,

this is the way of life that suits the human body,

those carbs are poison,

your life and its quality are valueble
