Sugar?

Hi everyone

I am new to the board and one week into induction and have been cheat free. No sugar either. I know you are not supposed to have sugar, but those of you that follow it religously do you avoid all foods that have sugar in the ingredients? -like salad dressings and mayonaisse. I notice alot of lo-carb recipes for salads call for mayo but besides the carb smart mayo brands like Hellmans has sugar in the ingredients.

Thanks so much.
Sara :)

I eat regular mayo, the amount of sugar it has in it is trivial. Look at the carb counts. Mayo still has a tiny amount of carbs in it even if it shows 0. Fitday will show it correctly. Same for dressings. The only things I avoid totally are hydrogenated oils and I try to avoid totally anything with high fructose corn syrup, or if it will have more than one type of sugar in it (just a personal quirk I guess) I also prefer things that list sugar as one of the ingredients instead of one of the other names for it.

You can't avoid it entirely, I guess, but I try to stay away from it if I can.

I read labels and look for the.. sugars 0
Even though it could be 0.9g, because legally the FDA can do that in the USA. I try to avoid it as much as possible.
