My pants are getting LONGER

who knew a diet could make you get taller? LOL - I hadn't thought about proportion of width to length so even though they aren't ridiculous in the waist, I'm starting to trip over the hems. These are my dress pants for school, and I don't really want to buy a bunch of new ones with summer holidays coming right up (who knows what size I'll be in September) so I'll just have to put up with it for now. Hey - just had a thought - I over-shortened a pair last summer and ended up with "floods"...hope I didn't throw them away as I should try them now! On a related note, I really hadn't realized that all my clothes were just a tad too tight. I thought that was they way they were supposed to fit....yikes.

Congratulations! Soon they'll be falling off!

Congrats! Try hemming the pants instead of tripping over them. Must less expensive than buying new. :)

They are getting longer because they are getting too big :) For most women, pants don't fall off until they are several sizes too big. My guess is that you fit into smaller pants now but might not realize it because you haven't tried them on. You could look in thrift stores or Ross to see if you can find a smaller pair. If you will only need to wear them for another couple weeks, then I'd just hem the ones you have and then buy some new ones in the fall. My recommendation for thrift stores still holds though. It's a great way to find new clothes as you are changing sizes without breaking the bank.

LOL! Thinchix, I had the same problem! My first 20 pounds lost has been from my caboose. I just donated 2 pairs of slacks which I vowed would never fit again. :)
