LC Cookies?

Sorry if this has been covered already, but I'm new :)

I'm on the lookout for some good LC cookies. A friend gave me some Kebler ones that were excellent, but apparently only found in the states. Does anyone know where I can find some cookies? Preferrably in large chain grocery stores like Loblaws or Dominion in the GTA?

The brand I've tried is Kebler's Chips Deluxe CarbSensible Cookies. My favourite flavour was chocolate pecan (2g carbs each), but choco chip (4g) was a close second.

Hello Maven: welcome to the board. I see that you only began 1 month ago. If I could suggest something: the longer you can put off eating those "LC substitutes" for non-LC foods, the faster and better you'll lose. And the more successful you'll be at really learning how to eat LC for the rest of your life.

Those so-called "LC products" just encourage us to keep on eating empty calories instead of meat, veg and fruit and fat. ANd many of them come from manufacturers who have hopped on the LC bandwagon but whose products may not be really LC and may contain hidden carbs, sugar alcohols or trans fats.

Keep to real food as much as possible and you'll likely do better than someone who looks for the substitutes.

I agree with Tofi...usually best to stick to "real foods" for as long as possible. But if it means it will keep you from straying to the really bad carbs then maybe as a small treat you could find some kind of cookies. I too will buy some snacks and treats for convenience sometimes. I haven't tried any LC cookies though. I have seen some in Superstore here in BC...but I don't know about your stores in the east. I think Loblaws and Superstore are are part of the same chain. The cookies at superstore are near the bread and baked goods section. Not cheap though and don't know the carb count.

I agree as well. Do not even bother with the low carb cookies and other frankenfoods. You want fresh unprocessed foods to get good results, good oils and plenty of fresh water.

IMHO, the starbucks almond cookies taste like dust. I'd rather eat cheese or a meat stick.

if you really *need* some LC cookies check out Dana's Carpender's cookbooks. I was leafing through one of her cookbooks and noticed she had a lot of lc cookie recipes in it....even chocolate chip. :)
