HELP!! ANY FAILED STOMACH STAPLERS OUT THERE FROM THE 80's???

Morning,

I had my stomach stapled in 1981 and lost 123lbs. Within 7 yrs, most of it had crept back on. Since then, I've managed to lose
here and there trying every new diet book that hit the stands.
All this time, I've just chalked it up to no support groups way back then, and never being intructed on how or what to eat. Back then, the procedure was not approved by the AMA, so there were no guidlines.
LO AND BEHOLD!!!! On the DISCOVERY HEALTH network the other night, there was a special on OBESITY...one of the people profiled had their stomach stapled. Her Dr was interviewed and
made the statement that the surgerys that were done in the 80's
had a very high failure rate and also that the people who had the procedure in the 80's couldn't do the high protein low carb
diets on the market these days.

My question to ANY OF YOU....do you know anyone who had this done within this time period, and failed, but have had success with this WOE????
