question about new book
HI,
IN the new book Dr. Atkins states on induction one can also have 10-20 olives, half avocado, ounce sour cream,3 ounces unsweetened haevy cream. Good! but questions. I assume even with this one must stick to the 20 grams of carbs, that this is not an added extra. In the gram counter in front of this book it lists olives at 2.5, 1/2 avocado 13. How can a person have so many olives and be under the count? Even a few would make the rest of the day hard. I understand that he states that these foods can slow down weight loss, but don't see it fitting in to induction at all; unless it is truly an extra that one can have and just br aware it could hinder weight loss. Thanks Allen |
You can subtract the fiber from the carb count. At the top of the page under low carb tools is a carb counter.
Atkins does say you can now subtract fiber, but then goes on to make it confusing. I think it's a case of bad editing. Karen |
