is this right?

lately I've noticed I'm more hungry-- like every two hours? In the beginning when ever I had bacon and eggs for breakfast, it seemed to hold me over until 1 or 2 o'clock.. now lookout, every two hours I want something, has anyone else noticed this or is it just my crazy system??

Hi Donna!

Are you in induction?

When I was, I would get these GODAWFUL hunger pains (I can't even call them pangs because they were worse!) all of a sudden. I'm not sure if they were every two hours, but when they came, I had to be sure I had something legal around to stuff in my mouth until I could fix a meal.

Now, I'm almost 3 weeks past Induction and the hunger has definately abated.

I had some hunger like that during Induction as well. Now when I have that hunger, it lasts about two days and is followed by a little weight loss. I try to always have some low carb snacks around.
Another thing I do is cook extra when I prepare meals. I fry up extra cube steaks, hamburger patties, or chicken breasts. I always cook more roast than I need too. I throw it in the frig and bingo!!! A quick meal or snack in my times of desperation.

Donna, my hunger pangs come and go, and I can often associate them with almighty wooshes. My best advice is to eat legal foods when you're hungry. Believe it or not, eating more can aid in your weight loss. I try to eat 5-6 small meals a day and find that I don't get as hungry if I do it this way and make sure to get enough calories. If you're hungry, and it's true hunger, eat! :)

I handful of macademia nuts will curb your hunger pains. They are high in fat and low carbs.

I agree with the macadamia nuts, they will curb your appetite and put into deeper ketosis. If I remember right, the higher fat content to the food, the greater chance of ketosis and remaining so. Keep at it and eat when you are hungry, dont hold back. But do watch it on the amount of nuts, b\c they can also stall you if you eat too much.
