Wheat Protein Isolate anyone baked with it?
 

Has anyone substituded wheat (not whey) protein isolate for flour in baking? If so how was it?

Actually, I'd love to get my hands on some. Can't find it anywhere!

I am opening a low carb store next month in Ohio and so I have been calling every distrbutor in the world lol.. My friend Julee at Grams Gourmet told me that she thinks Bobs red mill might have it so I am going to check into that tomorrow. Julee's company is coming out with it too but I am not sure when. There is another place too, a web site but I think the lady is a little nuts so I want to wait till next week and see if she is on the up and up when her site comes up b4 I say who she is. If u want u can email me and when I find something out I'll write u back. I am not sure if I am allowed to give my email address on here.

oic How many posts do u need to do pming and why do u need a bunch of posts to pm?

I don't know why they require a minimum post, but I think you need 25 in order to PM. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

I bought some whey protein isolate powder for baking... haven't used it yet though... It's damned expensive, and I got it at a health food store. The label says:

Balance Muscle Technology
100% Pure Ion Exchange Whey
Ultra Filtered Isolate

It is distribruted in Australia, New Zealand and Singapore/Malaysia... so I guess that's not a lot of help for you all over there in the Northern parts. My guess is try a gym or health food store.
