Just a bit over month on Atkins

and I am loving it!
I also work those 40 hour weeks, plus a 45 minute commute each way, but found that I can do 2 poached eggs while I do my hair, throw some bacon in the microwave and then am not hungry at all until lunch when turkey+cheese rolled in loose leaf lettuce becomes my sandwich. I also throw some tuna cans into my bag and keep at my desk- then throw a salad together in the AM and have a great meal.

To this point I have lost 8 # - can't seem to get into ketosis- but have dropped 2" in the bust, 1 in the waist, 2 in the hips and 2 in each thigh! So I am thrilled!

I enjoy checking in here to get inspiration, thanks to all who post and share.

Hi Jan,

Welcome to the forum! Congratulations on the 8 lbs lost so far!
I know what you mean about loving this WOE. After years of trying and failing low calorie, low fat diets, I still can't believe how easy low carb is. Finally, a "diet" that let's us eat real food and still lose weight. Don't you just want to tell every overweight person you meet?

You were very smart to take your measurements in the beginning. I wish I'd remembered to do that. I've never bothered with the ketose (sp?) sticks--just having the scales around is enough of "big brother" for me. Have you discovered Fitday yet?
http://www.fitday.com It's a great way to keep track of everything.
