YES! YES!
I gain 5-6 lbs from morning to night!!
It is normal for weight to fluctuate some from day to day too. If it drives you crazy.. weigh in once a week instead of daily. Or you could average your weight like they do for CAD. (weigh in everyday and then get the weekly average)

Long as its up and DOWN and not just up... don't let it drive you nuts!!

Your weight can fluctuate by as many as 9 lbs a day. This is quite normal. The myrad of things that effect your weight range from what you've eaten to what you've been drinking and what time of day it is. Ellie has a good suggestion; weigh once a week if you can. If you must weigh everyday do it at the same time all the time (preferably when you first wake up before eating or drinking anything). After a few months you will start to notice trends and be able to predict when you're going to lose a lb or two. Do not let the number rule your life though!!

Sometimes with all that bouncing around, it's hard to tell if you're losing or stalling.

Suggest keeping track of daily weights, averaging over a week and then posting the average on a graph. I went thru a 5 month period where I was convinced I wasn't losing - in fact I lost 3 pounds over that 5 months (talk about frustrating). If I had been graphing my averages along the way, instead of doing them months later, I'd have realized at the time that I was losing, just very slowly.
