Anyone headed up to the north country for the holidays? (I'm leaving the state for the Prescott Frontier Days Rodeo. It's a week of chaos locally. The tourists can have our city for a week! :lol: ) Maybe if anyone is heading up later in July or August, they'd like company (and restaurant recommendations).

I am going to be in Flagstaff at the end of July for the first time since I've lived in Arizona. I was invited to speak at a conference, and the idea of leaving Maricopa for 3 days during the sweltering monsoon -- well, let's just say it was a no-brainer.

Any suggestions for low-carb restaurants in Prescott? Other than the Golden Corral? Hope to get there by the end of the year.

I don't know any by name but I would go for a steak house, that way you can have a nice steak with a salad on the side and not worry about the carbs. Google "steak house in prescot" and see that there are several with good reviews.

Golden Corral is a no-no for me as there are just too many choices when I'm hungry and am more likely to eat off plan!

I am new to this forum and actually haven't started my food plan yet, but had thought of starting a Meet-Up group for low-carbers of all stripes in Tucson. I decided to get online support here first. But if anyone were interested I might get one going.
