Just wondering...

Hi all...

I was thinking about what I'm looking forward to once I lose all this weight, and I got to wondering what everyone else is looking forward to as they lose weight.

Here's mine...
1. Never needing to ask for a seatbelt extender when I fly.
2. Shopping at any store I want because I wear regular sizes.
3. Cutting down my risk of developing diabetes like my mother.
4. Feeling good and being healthy.
5. Being able to walk and sightsee all day without getting tired on my trip to England.
6. Pretty bras and panties, instead of "granny" underwear.

I know that there are others, but I'll add them later.

Anyone else want to share?? :agree:

TTFN!!

Shopping at regular stores is one of mine too!!!! I can't even imagine what I will do with the selection!!

Have you been to England before?? You sure will do a lot of walking....but you're going at a good time! My brother lives there and I go over about once a year.

Yes, I spent two weeks in England last summer. It was a lovely adventure. I even managed to drive fairly successfully.

TTFN!!

One thing I look forward to is slim hips, getting into a little black dress I have and looking good. Another is knowing that more is not better, enough is better. Feeling satisfied and good about myself. Recognizing when my hunger is physical, for food, and when it is emotional and knowing how to satisfy my emotional hunger.

Cute sexy dresses. They never make cute clothing in larger sizes I've found. Also being able to look good in smaller sizes. Because I'm so short I wear a smaller size even though I haev bulges. For some reaosn they thin konce you are a size 8 or lower you have perfectly flat abs and no bulges.

Boob job. That will have to wait probably until I graduate and can save up for a while to be able to afford it.

being able to prance in front of my ex boyfriend. we are really, really good friends now, but still; he did break up with me, and i want to prance. i explained to my friend the other night, there IS a difference between a strut and a prance. prancing is going to be so much fun because he's never seen me at my goal weight before! good luck to all of you!!

My Top ten reasons:

1. Reducing my cholesterol
2. getting rid of my heel spur forever
3. Not bringing my own seat belt extender.
4. flying on a helicopter to go dog sledding on a glacier in Alaska, I couldnt do this on my last 2 Alaskan cruises or riding on a horse on the beach in the carribean. I havent been able to this on my carribean cruises. All the excursions like this have a weight limit of is 200lbs.
5. Getting some nice dress shoes with heels vs. my sneakers and flats.
6. wearing more dresses that show my knees vs. the long coverup dresses.
7. Being able to buy dirt cheap bargains ~ Macy's.
8. Wearing sexy undies like Victoria Secret
9. The return of a normal . w/o drugs
10. trying to concieve in 3Q04!

Finding a hunky guy to cure lakanookie-and not be embarrassed.

What I look forward to most in shopping!

I am gonig to England this summer also and want to be able to buy a few t-shirts for my self this time! Last time I got a Hard Rock Cafe T-shirt for a friend and wanted one so bad. I gave in even though it did not fit, was going to make a pillow out of it but never got around to it.
:yay: But it almost fits now!!! :yay:

Dancing -- ballroom dancing for an entire evening without having to rest my ankles for every other song. Oh, and having the women cut in on my wife on every other song :)

amdevelish Sat, Jan-10-04 07:02

1.) I can't wait to wear tank tops...and look GOOD in them!
2.) I can't wait to go shopping for lingerie without feeling like the saleswomen think I'm crazy
3.) I can't wait to strut my stuff :) :)

OHGal1415 Sat, Jan-10-04 08:02

Things I look forward to:

1. Increasing my strength (lifting capacity! :D).
2. Wearing "daisy dukes" this summer
3. Having arms that look like Linda Hamilton's from her T2 days
4. 4 back to back BFL challenges

Wow - I'm getting motivated just by reading all these! I look forward to looking sharp in my uniform (instead of wanting to hide), shopping for nice clothes and ditching the jeans/sweats routine, and ballroom dancing sure sounds great (although DH has NO rhythym...)

I'm looking forward to not being self-conscious about having belly flab (a female pouch) when I go to a nude beach or clothing-optional resort this summer.

Joan

(And a special kudos to those who are overweight and go to nude resorts and know that they're accepted for who they are and not how they look. I applaud you.)

Cool Thread.

1. I look forward to having sexy shapely muscles which will give me a new shapely physique.

2. having a flat and toned midsection

3. actually having a waistline smaller than my hips (already on the way :yay: )
4. wearing low rise jeans without belly bulge hanging over:lol:

5. getting that energy I need to keep up with my 3 children

6. SHOWING MY BOSS THAT YES YOU CAN LOSE AND KEEP THE WEIGHT OFF BY LC'ING. she did it b4 and gained back the weight and always gives me that "tsk, tsk" kind of look.

7. Being able to finally share my success story with everyone in this forum and post my b4 and after pics!!!!!

orchidday Sat, Jan-10-04 08:37

What a fun inspirational thread! I realize that many of my dreams are the same as the other posters. Here goes:

1. Purchasing pretty underwear and bras that actually look decent

2. Getting rid of this "gut" that I have to carry around so that I can walk easier and just be more comfortable physically.

3. I am too old for HIGH heels but at least getting some pumps rather than flat shoes.

4. Being able to pick out clothes at regular stores and being able to shop at a much wider variety of places.

5. I have always wanted to go swimming at a nude beach and having more confidence to do that.

6. Never having to worry about booths in restaurants...not embarressing myself getting into them.

7. Flying comfortably without scaring my fellow passengers.

8. Not having my tummy touch my steering wheel. This is a good one because it will only take about 15 pounds to accomplish!

9. Many more but mostly feeling better in my body on a day to day basis.

Main thing for me is looking good nude! I have never ever been able to be fully nude around another person even when I was thin because I was always so paranoid and never felt confident. I am working on that now and want to feel comfortable that way.

Wearing a sleeveless shirt or dress without a jacket over it

Breast reduction (or at least a lift)

being able to run while the sun is up instead of midnight

being able to go into any store and pick something that would look good on me

Get this corset I have been saving for that I will buy at my goal and wear it with these hot leather hip hugger pants and look good in it

Get laser done for my excess hair that my lovely insulin resistance problem gave me.

Good Thread! Hmmm

1-being healthy, fit, and happy. Not having to worry about diabeties, or joint problems that could occur in the next 5-10 years ect.. That is my main one that I think covers it all.. BUT...

2-Being able to shop in the normal size clothes.. I frankly dont care if I have to wear the biggest size in normal clothes, hahah I just want selection!

3-To feel confident enough to NOT feel like Im being talked about/laughed at whatever, when I go out, or when dealing with family..

4-To be able to walk, swim, jog (thats pushing it though LOL I actually dont care for jogging much), play physical games with ease...

5-Be able to ride my bicycle long and far without getting tired, having to wear a "bigger" seat hahaha, and not having my arse hurt for a week for it..

6-Learning portion control, and not eating things just because they are there.

7-Fitting into booths with comfort and ease. Which I am just now starting to get uncomfortable with.

8-Going back home and not being afraid to face old school mates, or old boyfriends.. That is a big one.. (I go back to visit in Dec! I know atleast I can make a dent)

and finally, Im trying to strike up a deal with my mother that if I make an effort to loose weight (which I had already decided, hehe sneaky me!) that she makes an effort to stop smoking. And that would be really great if I could take care of my largest hehe health problem, and she take care of hers, all in the name of support. Deciding my grandmother, her mother died last year from complications due from diseases from smoking for so long, Id say we have bad luck in our family when it comes to smoking. And on my fathers side, everyone is overweight! hahaha Damn heredity!

Oh well!

3shewolf8 Sat, Jan-10-04 21:54

I can tell all of you that when you loose the weight, you will have things happen to you that you won't believe!! I started out at 240, and am at 174 on my way to 150. I love shopping!! I love to try on clothes, and I bought the "naughty panties" instead of granny panties this year!! I now own several pair of lo-rise jeans and love wearing them, especially around my hubby who can't keep his eyes off of me!! (not to mention his hands), and I feel like I can do anything. The feeling that you get when someone that you haven't seen in a long time, sees you, and says "oh my god!! you look so fantastic!!", or even getting asked out by a very good looking man, and saying "no thanks, I am married" is a feeling not be to described!! You will all make it!!

black57 Mon, Jan-12-04 22:44

I look forward to seeing the faces of those who said that this diet was bad for me, after they see my weightloss and check-up reports.I look forward to buying more new clothes. I look forward to turning fifty since my hubby is 5 years younger. I want to be his sexy wife eventhough I will be considered a senior citizen five years after that. My waistline is beginning to get that indentation instead of that Pilsbury Doughboy bulge...mmmbikini, here I come.

I, too plan on NOT developing diabetes like my mom and heart disease like my dad and sister. I want to write a newspaper article on low carb.

HEYNEENER, I like your goal!
