Kayak and day 12 of yoga complete.
Today was an extremely active day, just go go go. Woke up early to pack for the trip. That freaking inflatable kayak is heavy. Got to the launch site and had to inflate with a foot pump and then carry it to the ramp under my arm with the rest of the gear, lol. Then paddled for about an hour and a half. Returning to the ramp it felt like my arms were going to fall off my shoulders. Carry everything back to the car. When I got home I felt exhausted, like I would crash and go to sleep at 7pm. But after eating dinner and walking my dog I felt totally normal again! I was hoping today's yoga challenge would be a recovery day, but it was actually a HIIT fusion. Mountain climbers and burpees, boo. But I decided to give it a go and I got through it. I'm really thankful that my body is adapting quickly and that my mind keeps challenging it to go further. The good news: tomorrow is a recovery day! and the yoga challenge is a stretching and recovery day. Yaaassss. |

I don't like that I'm forgetting to log my exercise the day of, but I'm happy that I'm meeting the schedule every day.

I decided to skip yoga today because I woke up feeling run down and also have major DOMS from kayaking with a yoga chaser.
Kept moving whenever not working, so I recovered actively. Today's yoga video was going to be a tough power yoga session. Just listening to my body :) Tomorrow: that day 23 power yoga. |
Hi Manda, had to look up "DOMS" - Delayed-onset muscle soreness? So funny and I get it!! especially new activities or over use, mine usually peaks on day two - It kind of sucks going thru it but I'm always stoke by it because something was pushed - and I didn't get hurt. You are getting stronger!

For sure, Thud! It's my second time using those muscles in years. Always loved it, stopped making time for it! Gonna keep pushing it so I can continue to grow stronger.

I had the time of my life coming up with moves for some of my favorite songs last night.
Today was yoga day 25. My burn is high from walking to and from campus, so I am not going to stack treadmill intervals on the yoga tonight. |
Holy crap, I left this unattended for 2 weeks!
Good news is I stayed active throughout :cheer: Today was day 4 of my SECOND 30-day Yoga Challenge, meaning I completed the previous one. Cardio has been either treadmill or Zumba. |
