Ok, I was alittle reluctant to start a gym log but I'm finally doing it. I want to keep track here vs in my journal to hold myself accountable. I don't know about having all of the links at the bottom of my posts but oh well.

Today:
5 minute treadmill warm up
Weight training (arms & legs) 25 mins
Stability ball 5 mins
Push ups 2 sets 10 reps & sit ups 25
Stretching 5 mins

Ok, I feel better about posting that, lets see if I can be consistent about working out.

Yesterday 10-5 I did cardio:
4 min warm up
speed walked & ran for 45 mins
5 min cool down

I worked up a good sweat!!

I feel awful to say that I hated almost every minute of it. I procrastinated all morning about working out. I walked around in my workout clothes for a long time and finally started at 1:30. So glad it's over with.

Mon 10/9
I forgot to post this:

5 minute warm up
30 minute treadmill workout w/ incline
10 minutes w/ very steep incline, as low as the treadmill allowed
20 minutes no incline w/ increased speed
cool down

I had pep in my step and really enjoyed the workout!!! :D

Weds - no workout :(

Today I combined weight training & cardio because of yesterday.

5 min warm up
30 mins treadmill, no incline super fast walking
weights (machine & free weights) 10-12 reps - 3 sets arms, abs, chest, legs, back. The dip assist and pull up assist definitely make me sore.
I'm trying to lift alot of weight and only do 10 reps. I'm not lifting more then I can handle but it's still more then I used to do. I'm slowly getting over my fear that I will bulk up.
5 min cool down & stretch

Well, today I did this same routine minus the pep :D I was sweating 15 mins into the workout and dreaded the thought of 30 more mins to go and hated the thought of .... wait what??? Last time I did 10 mins w/ very steep incline, I thought I did 15 last time!!! Ok, I feel soooo good now, I did 15 mins w/ a very steep incline :D Sheesh, no wonder my legs were burning.
Ok, I did

5 min warm up
30 min fast walking w/ incline
15 min w/ very steep incline
15 mins no incline super fast walking
cool down

My shirt was soaked and I could really feel my abs contracting while walking w/ the incline.

Edit: My 6 year old is obsessed with doing push ups and sit ups lately. He challenged me to a round of both. I did 30 push ups & 50 pilates sit ups. Whew...I broke a sweat.

Oh my gosh, the last time I posted here was Nov 15th! I'm embarrased to say that, that was the last really sweaty workout I had and it wasn't even that intense :blush: I've done some workouts but not nearly what I should be doing. I need to get back into the swing of things SOON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

YEAH, I was embarrassed to post here in Dec. What's even worse is that it's now March and today was the first time I've been on the elliptical since then!

*sigh* not beating myself up just amazed that I was able to do that. No more big breaks in between workouts PERIOD!!!

Today I started on the elliptical, after 10 mins I had to jump off because my work phone rang. I had to get some work done which took about 20 mins. After I was done I jumped back on the elliptical & continued w/ 25 more mins. I was sweating but not profusely.

So:
35 mins on the elliptical.

I didn't realize that I haven't been on the elliptical since Fri.
Sat I walked for miles and actually felt sore the next day.

Today:
Increased my elliptical time to 46 mins, I was sweating a bit more and it felt good. I watched Dancing w/ the Stars while I was on, that made the time go by alot faster.
