Tuesday-- June 5th
did another 20 min stair stepper interval... this is so hard for me that I feel like I am going to barf when I am done.. I sweat more doing this then any other exercise.. even running.... sooo.. I am guessing this is a good thing.....(shrugging shoulders).... then.. did weights,abs,pushups,lunges. Wednesday.. June 6th-- my bday-- :) Going to dinner w friends and oldest DD... but FIRST.. am doing either bike ride or run... will be run/walking in am... sooooooooo... we shall see....... |
Thursday, June 7th--
run/walk 50 mins Friday, June 8th-- 10 mile bike ride Saturday, June 9th-- swim portion of tri-- swam 400 meters Something really positive happened to me after this swim-- even tho it was practice, I was there with some elite athletes in top fitness shape... something inside really clicked for me.... I was finally able to accept my limitations and just BE ME, not putting any expectations on myself, and allowing my self to be FREE..... this was a very liberating moment for me and one I shall never forget.. a moment that will take me further and further to my goals, my dreams......... :) |
Monday, June 11th--
20 mins stair stepper.. (really helping to further strengthen my legs!) 12 mins elliptical arm weights, lunges, abs, pushups. Tuesday-- girlfriend and I are driving to use pool to swim tonight, fitting in a walk/run sometime as well. tomorrow will be running/walking am & cycling tomorrow night-- or vice versa......... |
Tuesday--
45 min swim... approx 30 laps....great workout-- this is challenging and difficult and I am SUCH a beginner at this..... Wednesday-- am-- 45 min walk/run- pm-- 1 1/2 hour bike ride- |
bike ride last night was pretty tortuous.. but I did it.. we had high winds of approx 40-50 mph.. but I made it up a difficult hill with wind right at me.. without stopping. I only biked last night for 40 mins.. I had to get my little one and was strapped for time.
Thursday, June 14th-- today will be a day of rest for me.. but this is what the remainder of the week looks like for me: Friday, June 15h-- day off== woohoo I will be riding the course- 13.1 miles, then will go straight into the walk/run course-- 3.1 miles... I gotta see how I feel when I do this... Saturday, (in Idaho)-- will swim 30-40 laps in am, Sunday (in Idaho) walk/run 4 miles |
Monday, June 18th.. countdown to race day...33 days left...
1 hour 15 mins: 13.1 mile bike ride.. my time was a little slow.. but wind was blowing and I just had a tough ride for some reason.. hopefully will do better on Wednesday. |
Tuesday, June 19th- 32 days left to race day--
40 min walk/run-- all I could fit in today Wednesday, June 20th-- 31 days left to race day-- 13.1 mile bike ride.. and will try to fit in a swim, but doubtful cuz I have emt OTEP tonight. |
Thursday--
no time for training today. Friday-- June 22nd 20 min vigorous stair stepping, 30 mins weights, abs, lunges, push-ups swim the course Saturday-- June 23rd 6 am-- 17 mile bike ride; then 4 mile run/walk-- wow.. this was a hard workout today.. but me and DD accomplished it.. oh boy I was sore for rest of the day! :) Sunday-- June 24th swim the course |
Monday, June 25th-- YIKES.. 26 more days 'til race day...:eek:
13 mile bike ride in approx 55 mins- my best ride yet. abs, pushups, LOTS of stretching. |
Tuesday-
no training. Wednesday--June 27th-- 400 meter swim-- (the actual race course) 13 mile bike ride--(also-- the race course) Had a really good time training tonight with friends.. it was fabulous! :) Thursday, June 28th noon-- 3 mile walk/run, 5 pm- 400 meter swim |
Swim last night was extremely difficult cuz of the wind... BUT.. I did it-- the full course. :)
Saturday, June 30th.. GEEZ, last day of June! 3.2 mile run/walk...time pretty good for me... in about 45 mins.. GREAT stress reliever! Sunday.. JULY 1st.. OMG.. only 20 more days until race day... ended up swimming 1/2 the course.. (about 1/4 mile), and cycled 20 miles. went up more hills and did great.. but toward the end of the ride.. definetly ran out of energy.. this was a fabulous workout! |

Wednesday, July 11th--
1/4 mile swim of the course, 10 mile bike ride... was very very hot.. but it was a GREAT workout tonight! :) Thursday, July 12th-- 5:30 am- 2.5 mile jog/walk pm-- swim 1/4 mile |
Friday, July 13th---
I cheated a little and went to the gym: did the stair-stepper for 30 mins.. what a workout!!! Really good strenthening and endurance for my legs. then did weights, abs, lunges, pushups. Saturday, July 14th-- swam 1/2 the course.. then swam in the lake for hours with little one. Sunday, July 15th-- biked 13.5 miles.... GREAT ride! :) swimming |
