Walking is very difficult due to not feeling my feet well. Had x-rays, MRIs, etc. Trying to stick to plan as much as possible, but some nights I have gone OP. Going to try to start clean again right away. |

It has been 46 days, so I am pretty happy. I hope I can continue this losing pattern and lose another 10 lbs in another 46 days - which will be July 6th. Good luck to everyone. |

Yes I have been on Phase 2 for about a month. Since I have been on Phase 2, I still have been pretty strict and added oatmeal every other day for breakfast, strawberries and sugar free applesauce are the only fruits I eat. I have not had any bread, pasta, potatoes, etc. I usually have a nice sized salad with grilled chicken for lunch and chicken, fish, hamburger or steak with lots of veges for dinner. I also eat LF cheeses, pistachio nuts and jello for snacks. I also have 3 SB cookbooks and make some good recipes from these books. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, as I see you have been extremely successful. Thanks, Bosueren |

OK, good! Here's what I'd do and did when I was still losing my weight....try other starches not only grain as in oatmeal. This is where we get to try other starches to make our food plans more varied and see if they effect our weight loss one way or the other. So, sweet potato, butternut or other winter squashes, peas and carrots, are all listed as starchy veggies and can be eaten and counted as a starch serving. Its, SBD phase II, not only about adding grains and when more people get this, it'll be wonderful. :agree: Starchy veggies rock!! :cool: Also, berries and melons are great additions to phase II fruits and low on the GI. Are you doing any exercise? I've found that I should not have a lot of starch on the days that I'm not doing a lot of activity.....in other words, if I'm not gonna burn it off, I better not eat it. I would like to reintroduce myself to SB. I dropped out when I got really busy. I am starting out 179, 5'4" tall. Someone will have to add me to the list as I do not know how to do this.
