I'm In For Sure!

Hey everyone..........I'M READY! LET'S HIT IT!

Well, I'm back to my before vacation weight and don't forsee any vacations coming up again for some time in the future, especially with all the holidays coming up!

My current weight is 143.8!

Let the baggy jean challenge begin!!!! :yay:

DrmCorpMom Fri, Oct-17-03 06:12

Good morning all! Sounds like everyone is doing great.

I have spent the last week trying to add more fats to my foods each day after reading it should be a 70%-30% split between fats and protein. I'm getting up over 65% now but now my calories have gone up by 300-400 per day and I don't seem to be losing.

Any hints/tips/or ideas? Of course I could just cut the fat back out.

Thanks!
Jaimie

DCM, the only thing that helped me was counting calories......are you exercising?

J.J. Fri, Oct-17-03 06:49

Good Morning All!

DRM and Leenie, congrats on your losses! The whoosh fairy visited DH this morning, but I refuse to step on the scales until Sunday. I had really got into a scales obsession so I'm backing off now and I feel a lot less stressed.

DRM, I don't know what to tell you about the fats. I don't count carbs, or calories cuz it's a mental thing for me. If I have to start counting anything, like I did in my low fat /low calorie days, I'll get overwhelmed again. I just wing it and guesstimate my intake! Sorry, I'm not much help! I'm just not very scientific about these things.

Everyone have a good day and behaaaaaaaaaaave yourself!!!!

nawchem Fri, Oct-17-03 09:45

:dazzle: [Yah TerryLynne and Lennie

I was down one pound today (2.5 for the challenge)- 7.5 to go for thanksgiving!

nawchem Fri, Oct-17-03 09:49

Jaimie I think your fat is better higher. How long have you been trying the new level? Also your weight loss is great, are you changing things because you were stalled? I think you should try at least 2 weeks before you can really know if the change is working. I always had my fat at least 70% but I had to keep my calories under control before I lost.

Can I join late????? I have to say, I was gonna make T-day my planned cheat day too, but this would be my first challenge and it sounds fun!

Leenie Fri, Oct-17-03 11:02

TEMPTATION

Friday afternoon, there's a big cart of Mexican food just a few feet from me. I can smell it and it smells good. Hope I can make it.

DrmCorpMom Fri, Oct-17-03 16:22

Leenie...no, no exercise. I know I should but just can't get motivated. We have a weight machine collecting dust in the basement. I've swore that I'm going to start using it as soon as my daughters' Halloween party is over. (It's currently shoved in the corner to make more room)

Nawchem...I started trying to up my fats about 1 1/2 weeks ago only because I read here that "optimal" is 70% fats/30% protein. I was abit off those marks and eating more protein and thought weight loss may improve. Maybe I should have left well enough alone.

JJ...I have software for my PDA from Calorie King that keeps track of everything, carbs, calories, fats ect... so there really isn't anything to counting. Right now I am using a trial version of a new Windows program from Calorie King that is about the same thing only on the computer.

Thanks!
Jaimie

Well, I couldn't wait until Sunday! The scales was staring me in the face when I got out of the shower like it was saying....."Come on, I dare you, make my day!"

So, I weighed myself and I'm down to 143.0!!!! Down 1/2 pound! Yippeeeeeee!!

DrmCorpMom: What's this Calorie King that you're talking about! You've peaked my curiosity!

Check out www.calorieking.com

The software is great, lots of foods to choose from. The big drawback is syncronizing...right now the PDA software won't sync with the Windows...etc.

They are supposed to be fixing this by Spring 2004.
