I know your tricks girl...and I plan on using them against you too!!!

ScotiaGirl Sun, Jan-17-10 09:02

Ok I'm not very good at updating this.LOL

Did my 4th session of PM callanetics today...I can do it everyday and although my legs ache it is not too much to not be able to do them again the next day...it is a start..to a slammin body. Oh Yahh...that works for me even when the scale is bouncing and making me mad.

ScotiaGirl Mon, Jan-18-10 08:32

I plead the 5th....actually I did the 5th no pleading involved...I actually like it this morning...yah me.LOL

ScotiaGirl Tue, Jan-19-10 09:50

6th session done...my back did not scream in pain at me last night when I laid down to go to bed...oh yah these exercises do work, my stomach even looks flat.

I was able to do the pelvic rotations and the pelvic tilts "with ease"...so tomorrow it is on to the AM sessions for 7 days...my back didn't bother me at all last night!

This set of sessions ups the stomach crunch type things to 200, so I felt that a little more, and I was surprised that the leg squat things were not as hard as I thought they would be, the open close ones, even though there is only five made an impression though.LOL

I am so glad that I did the PM for 7 sessions, I am hoping to say the same thing about the AM sessions when I move on to the full 10/10 video next week.

Struggled with my eating last night...sooo off plan, had trouble getting motivated to exercise this morning...I was very sluggish. But with a little motivation from my friend Smullen, we both exercised this morning...I even saw some definition coming back to my legs...oh yah...and no "butt charlie horse today".LOL
So I have 5,6 and 7 left of the AM's going to decide then what to do...I am leaning toward the 10/10 three days a week, but doing it everyday seems to keep me motivated...you can't take a day off...if you take No days off.

Finding my rhythm, stomach exercises are much easier, and the side leg things are much easier I am starting to sit up straighter when I do them...and I can definitely see some definition in my legs...and no 'Butt charliehorse"...that's two days now. LOL

My back did not ache last night...as in not one little bit!
Tomorrow will be day 14 of exercise, and I am very happy with that and the 20 minutes seems to work perfectly for me...now what to do next???

options....
1) continued doing the AM sessions for another week( should be able to fly through them in another week)

2) alternate the AM and PM (don't think this is enough though)

3) try doing the 3X full hour workout 10/10 which can be done in 45 minutes if I fast forward through some of the explanations. (not sure if I would stick to it..it would me different days every other week if I do one day of 10/10 and something else the next day)..previously I didn't like doing it on Mondays...then I could do the PM on off days.

4) Day 1 10/10 session
Day 2 AM session
Day 3 PM session
Day 4 10/10 session
Day 5 Walking/Cardio
Day 6 10/10 session
Day 7 Walking/Cardio

That might work so that would end up being

Thursday 10/10 session
Friday AM session
Saturday PM session
Sunday 10/10 session
Monday Walking/Cardio
Tuesday 10/10 session
Wednesday Walking/Cardio

This sounds really good! Then, you can eventually increase it to 10/10 sessions 5-6 days/week

Ooooh, you wanna slap me dont ya?? lol

Oh the 400 stomach crunchy type things...the last 100...they were hard to do, but I did them...the leg out and sitting thing...last 25 of the 100 of those were making my leg twitch...the stretches felt as good as I remembered them..not to the pelvic rotation..so I've been at this for 35 minutes now...got the first 5 done and my knee made this lovely cracking sound...that was enough for Princess to say...we will save those for another day...so other than the 2 pelvic's..the rotations and the tilts...I did the whole routine..the first try...wow..how did I start with that routine this summer...was I nuts...well I was racing so I guess I was more limbered up but...man...no wonder I gave up after 3 or 4 weeks...I was just starting to get the exercises all done...I can't tell you how pleased that I worked up to this tape...and 3 times a week is going to be the limit on that routine for awhile...but I am excited about starting my walking routine this week...so how was your work out...what did you end up doing???

catsrus Thu, Jan-28-10 09:55

Wow! Looks like you girls are doing good!
I HOPE by Monday my DVD will be back up and running and I can get back to Calanetics. Assuming it is, I'll check back in then. (Also that's when I plan to get back to a true Atkins '72 diet; right now it's just LC mostly).
Keep up the good work ladies!

So it's day 21 done, as in 3 weeks, everyday..I still can't believe it went by that quickly.
So week 1 was the PM Callanetics routine...20 minute sessions..a really great way to easy myself into exercising..instead of aiming too high and using every excuse in the book to not exercise today...I had to exercise, there was no legitimate excuse for not doing this.

Week 2 was the AM Callanetics routine...20 minute sessions..the next step, more intense yet not so much that I could justify not doing it everyday..and my back was feeling better.

Week 3...time to step it up to the 10/10 routine...45 minutes of "you're going to feel this after you do it".lol 3 times a week, with an added walking video on the off days...I really liked the walking routine, infact for two to the days I added it to a 20 minute Callanetics (one AM, one PM) so that brings me to today...the final day of my "new weekly routine"...I think I like it, the 3rd 10/10 session made me literally be glad today was my easy day...just the walking, but I could feel the back of my arms when I used them, and the calf muscles which never bother me.

Week 4...continue to do this set of routines for another week...then reassess..wish me luck.LOL
