Since the 1st, I've restarted inductio and have gone from 168 to 165, which is still a gain over the 163 I was at. At least I'm headed in the right direction, though. Hopefully by Tuesday I'll be a little lower.

I got the flu on New Years Day and droped to 173. Now, then I rehydrated myself and am back to 178, which is where I have been for about 3 days. I guess that is one way, to get back to pre-holiday weight. :)

Ok, second week in and another 2.6 lb lost. Really pleased, although feel really bloated, and even though this is the lightest I have weighed in a long long time, it doesnt feel like it, - not sure what is going on, perhaps my body is just re-adjusting to my weight loss. I'm back on track just about where I was before the Christmas and New Year festivities. Having indulged in a couple of serious binges on salted nuts, I had a major battle in the shop yesterday - oh I love cashews and pistachios but can't manage moderation. So cold turkey it is - no more nuts for me. I'm back on strict induction now after holiday relaxation. To answer the coffee question - I have one cup of caffineated coffee in the morning and several decaffs during the day. I used to drink weak tea but that needs milk so until I can include milk will be sticking to coffee -with or without caffine. Jo-Ann - without being too personal - what does Splenda do? Just wondering cause I've not used it much in cooking but if I need to be cautious would like to know. Great to see so many posts. Ok back down to Avatar weight at least. Which means a 1 pound loss. I have restarted induction and it really makes you think about what you are putting in your mouth. Yesterday about 2 p.m. I was so hungry but I hadnt prepared so there was nothing I could eat in a rush. Its amazing how many times a day I was shoveling a handful of nuts into my mouth, popping some pepperonis, or having a bar to get me through the day instead of eating like I know I am supposed to do. At any rate I feel induction is going to be very helpful for me to kickstart myself back into weight loss mode. Have a great week everyone!

Well, this doesn't look good, but there's gotta be some reason!! I've not even been doing this challenge for a whole weekand I'm up 2.5 lbs???? I did get back t the gym yesterday and will go again tomorrow. I'm actually enjoying myself. It's relieiving some stress!!
My carb count is up kinda high lately all thanks to something called cranberry juice!! I had no idea it was so high in carbs. I'm trying to fight off a UTI AND a yeast infection thanks to some antibiotics I was on. Maybe that's why the weight is up. Thanks for letting me join the challenge. Good luck everyone!! charlene, I wonder if the cranberry pills would work for you. I am trying the anticandida diet for yeast. Its not too much of a change from lowcarb. Much of it is keeping sugars low, avoiding cheese, mushrooms, nuts. Not eating leftovers. As soon as you cook your food it starts growing mold, so I have to stick it in the freezer and rethaw. I'm going to try it for a while.
