Quick update – just received low carb sauces – Ketchup, BBQ, Plum, Chili Pepper – Raspberry jam, too!! Torilla’s are back ordered and Keto, well, their operation is effectively shut down until some issues are resolved.

I just did a special order of baked low carb bread (separate from the mix) which comes in on Thurs. My baker was revamping his formula, but his changes increased the carb count to about 70% of what white bread would be. I asked him to bake the original formula which has 2 grams of carb per slice.

I just got some Carbsense Harvest Wheat Bread Machine Mix that has an effective carb count of 3 ECC/serving.

DaVinci is selling great – In fact, I received a call to do A-Channel’s Big Breakfast again on Feb. 13th and I am planning on having some to display!!

I love the contact in New York for Expert, but their stuff is so pricey, for example, their 6.5 oz mousse package is to retail for $31.75!!!

Drop by when you have a minute and take a look at the items from this other supplier and let me know which ones you would like me to order.

We are having our first info day this Sat. (New Insulin delivery device technology and a foot care specialist RN to provide info), so I will be in the store for sure from about 10:30 to around 3:00.

Did I tell you that I met with the finest fellow this week who has already done the first draft of our website/e-commerce? I’ll keep you posted on the progress.

Keto Canada has effectively been shut down until they have a chance to respond to their issues. It is very much a week to week thing for them (and I think it could take several months to resolve). I do think that it is important that Keto Canada comes out ahead in the game, but it may be too early to say.

In the meantime, I am trying source low carb through other avenues. The legislation for labeling of products (all products, not just low carb) changed effective Jan. 1/03. Keto is just one, I’m guessing, at the receiving end of this new legislation criteria.

I am hoping that the Torilla’s are not now caught in this same bind – all I have been told is that they are backordered and that they will ship as soon as they receive their shipment.

The other low carb items that I told you about were from this same supplier.

The low carb tortillas came in I picked some up last week and she recieved another order on that day too. Has an tried the delight bars and are they good for Atkins? I have been posting to heather so nice to meet u all Pls let me know when you are going to meet next. :wave:

Hello Calgary ladies - just what I was looking for!!
 

I have posted a few times in the past but didn't really find what I was looking for. Maybe this is it. This WOE is truly a new adventure and I find I need some support. Most of all nice to know others going through the same things and have conquered!!

I am very new to the internet and am not sure how to do all these postings etc. I just take a chance and hope for the best. If you are interested in keeping in touch please someone fill me in on the proper way to do things in this setting.

I will give you a brief low down on my experience so far. Started January 1st ( really) lost 13lbs first 2 weeks, then 2lbs next week and since then up and down the same 4 lbs. I have had a few meals (2) that I have just said forget it. I am now close to my tom so won't weigh for a little while. I am following Atkins induction - very strictly- need advice from others who have stayed on induction for an extended length of time. Other posts have told me to keep goin, don't give up, but I think I need to know what might lie ahead. Some stories about people stalling for months SCARE ME! I don't have it in me to hang in there without some progress.

Sorry, I know I said brief but I have found I can type just about as long as I can talk!!!

Anyway thanks for listening.
